Tbilisi is the capital of the country of Georgia. Mtskheta is the most religious city of Georgia, and during the tour you will visit around the most attractive parts of this cities. During the tour we will also drive to Kakheti, which is wine region, with fascinating nature.
ITINERARY
Day 1: Tbilisi – Mtskheta-Tbilisi
You will visit: The National Museum, Metekhi church (12th-13th centuries), Sulfur Baths, Sioni Cathedral (7th-19th centuries), Anchiskhati Basilica, the Clock Tower of famous Rezo Gabriadze theatre.
Mtskheta is one of the oldest town and cultural center of Georgia. Visit Jvari church and an 11th century cathedral of Svetitskhoveli. Arrive and overnight in Tbilisi.
Day 2: Tbilisi-Ujarma Fortress Town-Gombori Pass-Ikalto-Telavi City-Gremi Fortress-Sighnaghi-Tbilisi
Ujarma is the Iberian kings residence (3rd century) ruins. Gombori Pass with charming views. Ikalto, the 12th century University complex. Driving through Telavi city (center of the region). After visiting of Gremi fortress is degustation of the local wine tasting places ( or wine cellar). Sighnaghi (17th– 18th century) is town of love. Drive back to Tbilisi.
