ITINERARIES

Day 1: Arrive in Tbilisi, meet in the airport and transfer to a hotel (In the evening you will see with your guide: Holy Trinity Cathedral, Metekhi Church, Narikala fortress, Sulfur bath houses, Mosque, Sioni Cathedral, Anchiskhati Basilica, the clock tower of famous Rezo Gabriadze Theatre, Rike Park and Open Air Museum of Ethnography, where you can fine traditional houses from all regions of Georgia). Overnight in Tbilisi.

Day 2: Tbilisi-Mtskheta-Ananuri-Stepantsminda-Gudauri (Mtskheta is religious center of Georgia. You will visit Jvari Church, where is nice views of the confluence of Aragvi and Mtkvari rivers. The next is Svetitskhoveli Cathedral. Continue to Ananuri architectural complex. The complex features churches and towers dating back to the 16-17th centuries. Beautifully overlooking the Jinvali reservoir. Continue driving on Georgian Military Highway passing through the highest point of it at 2379 m above sea level. Arrive at Stepantsminda, a small town and visit Gergety Holy Trinity Church with breathtaking views to Mt. Kazbegi). Overnight in Gudauri.

Day 3: Gudauri-Gori-Uplistsikhe-Kutaisi (Drive to Gori and Visit the Stalin Museum. The next is cave town Uplistsikhe, dating back to Hellenistic Period. Drive to Kutaisi, on the way make a stop to visit Ubisa Monastery famous for its well preserved and colorful frescoes dated 9th century). Arrive to Kutaisi for overnight at the hotel.

Day 4: Kutaisi-Motsameta-Prometheus Cave-Martvili Canyon-Kutaisi (In the morning, visit Bagrati Cathedral, 11th century and one of the best samples of medieval architecture. Continue to Motsameta Monastery to enjoy fantastic views over the gorge. Drive to the Prometheus cave and Martvili Canyon, where take a small boat trip inside the Canyon, see one of the nature’s most wonderful creations-waterfall). Overnight at the hotel.

Day 5: Kutaisi-Petra-Botanical Garden-Batumi (In the morning depart to Batumi. Stop on the way at Petra fortress with green gardens beautifully overlooking the Black Sea. Visit Batumi Botanical garden, established in 1880, it is the biggest and the oldest botanical garden in South Caucasus, which hosts incredible collection of more than two thousand tree species. Arrive in Batumi. Free time). Overnight at the hotel.

Day 6: Batumi-Borjomi (In the morning, visit Gonio fortress, the oldest fortress in Georgia, return to Batumi for walking sightseeing tour: visit Europe Square, Piazza Square, Alphabet tower, “Ali and Nino” Statue, walk on Sea Boulevard). Depart to Borjomi and overnight.

Day 7: Borjomi-Akhaltsikhe-Khertvisi-Vardzia-Tbilisi (In the morning visit, an old stone Rabat fortress, the main sight of the Akhaltsikhe town, its name comes from Arabic meaning “fortified place”. Continue to Vardzia. En route, Short stop at Khertvisi Fortress (10-11 centuries). On the way back to Tbilisi, take a walk in Borjomi Park famous with its mineral water reserves). Overnight in Borjomi.

Day 8 : Tbilisi-Departure (Transfer to the airport).
