The main sights of the city are in the Old Tbilisi district. This is well-known for its sulfur bathhouses. On Shardeni Street you will find plenty of modern, popular restaurants, open air-café bars, night clubs and art galleries.

Kakheti is a region formed in the 1990s in eastern Georgia from the historical province of Kakheti and the small, mountainous province of Tusheti. Telavi is its capital. The region comprises eight administrative districts: Telavi, Gurjaani, Kvareli, Sagarejo, Dedoplistsqaro, signaghi, Lagodekhi and Akhmeta. Kakheti is bordered by the Russion Federation to the Northeast, Azerbaijan to the Southeast, and the Georgian regions of Mtskheta-Mtianeti and Kvemo Kartli to the West.

ITINERARIES

Day 1: Tbilisi city tour: Metekhi Church, Peace Bridge, will see Mother of Georgia Monument by cable car, Sulfur Bathes, Locks Bridge, Mosque, Tbilisi mini Waterfall, Sameba Church (the biggest church in the Georgia), Freedom Square, will go to see Mtatsminda and Funicular restaurant. Overnight in Tbilisi.

Day 2: Kakheti full day trip. Gremi Church, Khareba Winery, Bodme Monastery, Sighnaghi city (the city of love). Overnight in Sighnaghi.

Day 3: Borjomi national park for relaxing. Overnight in Borjomi.

Day 4: Stepantsminda full day trip. Jinvali Water Reservoir, Ananuri Fortress. Gudauri Friendship Monument, Stepantsminda, where you visit Gergeti Trinity. Overnight in Stepantsminda.

Day 5: Gori City, Uplistsikhe Cave, Mtskheta City (the old capital of Georgia), Jvari Monastery. Back to Tbilisi.
