Svaneti is located in the northern part of western Georgia and includes the southern slopes of the Caucasus Range and the upper Enguri River and Tskhenistskali.

There are 10 highest peaks in Svaneti that’s why it is considered to be the highest populated region in the Caucasus. The highest peak of Georgia Shkhara is located in Svaneti and it is 5201 meters high. Svaneti is popular among alpinism lovers and skiers.
